Apple Ridge Farm’s Environmental Education (EE) programs offer exciting hands-on environmental and Life Science experiences. While hiking through the forest habitats, communities are revealed, food webs are explored, and the cycles of energy are explained through games and stories. At our pond and stream, life cycles and animal adaptations are the exciting topics. Kids gather specimens with nets and are delighted as salamanders, tadpoles, insect nymph, and larvae of all kind come crawling out to greet them.

For school groups, Life Science SOL vocabulary and concepts come to life right before kids’ eyes making lasting memories. Many non-school groups also attend our programs for fun-filled nature experiences. Boy and Girl Scouts, nature/science clubs, and even birthday parties have joined us to have fun while exploring our environment.¬†Our programs can be customized for your group!
