Hike on one of our nine trails and see native beauty all along the five miles of forest trails! The Apple Ridge Farm trail system is open to the public by reservation.
High & Low Ropes
High Ropes Challenge Course
This course, located high off the ground in mature stands of native trees, challenges the individual and thus the team to rely on each other to overcome obstacles and complete a task. Eight high ropes elements such as the “Leap of Faith”, “Dangle Duo”, “High Y”, two 55 foot climbing walls, and a 600 foot zip line are part of the challenge course. Participants gain confidence in their own abilities which enable them to develop appropriate risk taking skills.
Low Ropes and Team Challenge
Team Challenge Course (Low Ropes Course) – Featuring 18 stations with names like “Wild Woozy” and “The Mohawk Walk”, “Maui to Ohau”, and “Trust Fall”, these courses demonstrate hands-on activities the necessity of teamwork in all areas of life, how to develop those skills, and how to apply them in real life situations.

Climbing Tower & Observation Deck
Thanks to Carilion Clinic and other supporters we built the premier 60 ft, climbing tower in our region, drawing the attention of many groups and climbing enthusiasts seeking this type of challenging activity. The Climbing Tower is a part of the High Ropes Challenge Course. The Observation Deck is available as an add-on for special events.
