It is our pleasure to annouce Josh Thoemke as our new Executive Director! After nealry a year-long process, the board and search committee has selected Josh to lead Apple Ridge Farm.
Josh Thoemke is a seasoned non-profit leader with extensive experience in non-profit management and development. He started his career in non-profits with Young Life in Roanoke City working at Patrick Henry High School. He most recently served as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Virginia before finding his home at Apple Ridge Farm, currently serving as Executive Director. Josh’s passion for youth in our community is what drives his work at Apple Ridge and his daily life. He has spent his entire career working with local kids and believes that inherent in every child is a seed of success. His goal is to continue to ensure that the care, education, and experience that Apple Ridge Farm provides helps to grow that seed and to watch our youth blossom into successful young men and women.
He is a proud graduate of James Madison University with a BA in Justice Studies. Outside of his work in the community and at Apple Ridge, Josh loves to spend time with his wife and two beautiful daughters on their farm.
